So whenever you fight a hariyama, it’s always facing you like the lvl 31 hariyama here: right arm forward, left arm back.
But then suddenly, when you catch a hariyama, suddenly it decides it’s left-handed or something.  It puts its left hand forward and its right back, like my lvl 56 here.
Apart from this being an alarming inconsistency on the part of the sprite designers, it’s really…illogical from an actual martial arts standpoint.  It’s completely wide open against an incoming attack from the another hariyama, if it’s fighting one.  Perhaps that’s why fighting attacks have normal effectiveness against fighting types.
